Imagine this: the sun setting in a southern sky, the tempting smell of freshly smoked BBQ in the air, and the sounds of tapping toes and energetic harmonies coming from the main stage on the Great Lawn. The clinking of wine glasses and laughter flows through the crowd from the wine and beer gardens set up for the final Southern Nights festival. It’s an experience like no other in northwest Tennessee.

Southern Nights is a summer festival event on the Great Lawn at Discovery Park of America that has been the place to be on Saturday nights. Not only is the atmosphere one that all guests enjoy, but the music is what really makes Southern Nights a fun event. Southern Nights concerts kicked off with American Idol finalist Clark Beckham, and then local favorites, such as Olivia Faye from Murray and the popular 24 Seven Band. Our recent entertainer was energetic Jason D. Williams banging out the tunes on the piano. And we are already ‘twisting and shouting’ for the final concert on August 6th to grace the stage at Southern Nights – The WannaBeatles!

The WannaBeatles started in Nashville, TN, in a local Mexican restaurant, and they just continued performing in bigger places in the area! Dennis Scott, Bryan Cumming, Nathan Burbank and David Toledo were out to not only play the popular Beatles music, but to add their own sense of humor and energy to the show! They have performed with artists such as Wynonna Judd, Phil Keaggy, and Jonny Lang. Seriously, these guys are the bees knees: Take a listen to The WannaBeatles!

So, come out and dance to the music of The WannaBeatles! The energy of the band will bring you to your feet and will have everyone singing and dancing to the popular Beatles music. This is a perfect way to end your summer with the sunset, good food, and great entertainment. Gates will open at 6:00 with $10 admission. Bring your bag chairs and picnic blankets as well! The WannaBeatles will start at 7:00, and it’s a concert you will not want to miss. We hope to see you and the final Southern Nights concert on August 6, 2016!Crowd from wine garden and building, concerts in Nashville, TN, parks, museums, gardens and things to do with children.
