Military Living History Weekend

See reenactors, weapons demonstrations, and more during the weekend of Military Living History! The focus will be on WWII, Korean War, Vietnam and The Gulf War. Check out the schedule of events below for more information. Military Living History is free with your park admission or membership. Admission for Memorial Day is $10 per person, and all military and dependents get in FREE on Memorial Day.

Schedule of Events:
Saturday, May 26:
-Reenactors on the lawn ( WWII – Current Conflicts )
-Life of a soldier (Great Lawn)
-Training Routines (Great Lawn)
-Firing demonstrations @ 11:00 & 2:00 (Great Lawn)
*This will include weapons demonstrations from the different wars.

Sunday, May 27:
-Reenactors on the lawn ( WWII – Currents Conflicts )
-Life of a soldier (Great Lawn)
-Training Routines (Great Lawn)
-Field Service with Chaplain Powell @ 11:00 (Great Lawn)
-Firing demonstration @ 2:00 (Great Lawn)
*This will include weapons demonstrations from the different wars.

Monday, May 28 (OPEN Memorial Day):
-Reenactors on the lawn ( WWII – Currents Conflicts )
-Life of a soldier (Great Lawn)
-Training Routines (Great Lawn)
-Firing Demonstrations @ 11:00 (Great Lawn)
*This will include weapons demonstrations from the different wars.
-Memorial Service @ 2:00 (Memorial Garden in Freedom Square)
**The memorial service will include the Presentation of the Colors, the Pledge of Allegiance, National Anthem. Chester Crone (commander of the local VFW post) will present an MIA ceremony, Chaplain (LTC) Ronald C. Powell Sr. USAR/NG will be our guest speaker, recognition of all veterans. There will be a 21 gun salute with a live playing of TAPS, followed by our closing prayer and Retiring of Colors.
