Spring has sprung here in west Tennessee and what better way to spend your spring break than here with us at Discovery Park of America. If you’re looking for a fun educational day with the kiddos or a relaxing day with your pals to get out of the house, we are your perfect spring break destination. Did we mention we have a $2 off coupon for all students on spring break, grades K-12? All you have to do is come on a Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday, or Friday (offer is not valid on weekends) between March 7 and April 7, 2017 and you can get that discounted price!
So why should you visit Discovery Park of America during your spring break? We have a list of 3 reasons why you need to visit us:
1) Da Vinci Machines and Robotics! This traveling exhibit came to us all the way from Italy and is definitely worth your while. It showcases all of Leonardo Da Vinci’s paintings and inventions, while letting you have a hands on experience by touching and operating some of his creations. Here’s a blog written about our exhibit that can give you some more information, if you’re not already sold!
2) The Rubber Ducky Race on Saturday March 25th! This event is something you do not want to miss! It is our first annual Rubber Ducky Race here at Discovery Park and we could not be more excited! If you’re skillful, or lucky, enough to win the race, you will receive prizes that are all from our sponsor, Final Flight! You have the chance to win a Dry Case Waterproof Phone Case or Tablet Case, Drybuds Fusion Headset, and even a Pelican 20 Quart Elite Tennessee Cooler! (Must be present to win!) All of the money raised for this event will go to the Kirkland Memorial Scholarship Fund, which helps schools that cannot afford to visit us here at Discovery Park of America. The event will start at 1 o’clock on Saturday, March 25, and if you’re one of the first 300 guests to purchase a duck for $10 then you’ll get into the park for free! This event will be a quacking good time!
3) Our Summer Nights Music Festival! It’s the perfect way to kick off or end your beloved spring break. The first Southern Nights concert is on Saturday, April 1st and tickets are $10. Kicking off the night will be Cotton Clifton and The Pickers and for our main event we have The Ultimate Aldean Experience, who looks and sounds just like Jason Aldean. The concert starts at 7p.m. but we’re opening our gates at 5:30p.m. for you early birds! You can relax and enjoy the outdoor atmosphere with wine and beer gardens, food trucks, and more!
While we’re all anxiously planning our spring breaks and wondering how we’re going to keep the kids, the spouse, or even ourselves entertained, Discovery Park of America will be here planning your best spring break ever! So whether you’re near our park or maybe a couple of hours away in Jackson, TN, Memphis or Nashville, we hope that you consider putting us into your spring break plans! Let the relaxing begin! You can check out a whole list of our upcoming events on our calendar!
