Camps are returning to Discovery Park of America this fall with our fall STEAM camp. This camp is a perfect chance for kids to learn, create, and have fun in an inspiring environment while developing new skills and making lasting memories.

Join us for an exciting week-long STEAM camp exclusively for children in 3rd through 5th grade.. Each day, campers will have the opportunity to engage in a variety of fun and educational activities that explore Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts, and Mathematics (STEAM). These activities include:

Oct. 14 – Physical Forces

• Students will learn and experiment with the fundamental forces of gravity through a variety of lenses, including activities on centrifugal force, hovercrafts made of balloons, friction and more.

Oct. 15 – Robotics and Coding

• Students will spend the day building robots and sending them through an obstacle course of their own design as they learn the basics of robotics and coding.

Oct. 16 – Marble Run Madness

• Engineering takes center stage as students draft and build the perfect “marble run” using a variety of fun materials and schematics. The track’s speed, creativity and aesthetics are only limited by the bounds of a student’s imagination.

Oct. 17 – October Arts and Crafts

• Thursday is all about the arts as students use a variety of art materials, both standard and unusual, to capture the spirit of fall. Activities will include standard paper art, LEGO’s, the plants and animals of Discovery Park and a special class mural.

Oct. 18 – Math and Geometry Escape Room

• Students will spend the day dispelling the myth of unfun math as they use mathematics and geometry to solve mysteries and decipher clues in this fun, day-long escape room activity.
