On Sat., Sept. 28, Discovery Park of America is partnering with Jason Lindsey, aka “Mr. Science,” to offer a great STEM-related program, “Hot Wheels Lab.” This program is designed for children ages 4-12 and encourages inquiry and real-world, problem-based learning through play as kids design investigations, which explore force, motion and energy. Afterwards, be sure to take your Hot Wheels fan to experience the newest traveling exhibit at Discovery Park, “Hot Wheels: Race to Win.”
There are only 30 spots per class, and these programs sell out fast! You can purchase your tickets online or at the front ticket counter. Tickets must be purchased in advance, so do not wait until the last minute!
Program date: Sat., Sept. 28 in Reelfoot Room
Time: 1 p.m. and 3 p.m.
Cost: $10 per child | includes general admission to the park, admission to the Hot Wheels Lab program with Jason Lindsey, and admission to the “Hot Wheels: Race to Win” exhibit (Purchase tickets here.)
*Note: Parents/Guardians – If you wish to stay with your child for the program with Jason Lindsey or go into the “Hot Wheels: Race to Win” exhibit with your child, you may do so with no additional charge. You will be given a wristband when you purchase or redeem your child’s ticket.
Who is Jason Lindsey?
Jason Lindsey, aka “Mr. Science,” is a nationally-recognized STEM educator, meteorologist, and author. He’s appeared on television stations across America, including the NBC Today Show, getting kids “Hooked on Science.” Jason visits hundreds of schools each year, inspiring kids to be inquisitive about the world around them, and to develop a long-term interest in science and math. He is a STEM professional and brings real-world science connections to schools. Jason is an award-winning freelance meteorologist.
