Discovery Park of America has a lot to offer the family this year during Labor Day Weekend.
NEW EXHIBIT – HOT WHEELS: RACE TO WIN OPEN
From the opening of our newest exhibit, “Hotwheels: Race to Win,” to our newly added Cruise-In, as well as Christian music playing throughout the park, we have something for everyone in the family to enjoy. The “Hotwheels: Race to Win” exhibit is a great hands-on exhibit, focusing on STEM concepts of engineering and design, engine physics, physics of motion and math. This exhibit opens to the public on Aug. 30 and will be on display through Jan. 5, 2020.
A special a car inspired by Lightning McQueen from Pixar’s movie “Cars” is on display Aug. 30-Sept. 1 from Rusty’s TV and Movie Car Museum in Jackson, Tennessee.
On Sat., Aug 31, classic cars will be on display from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. as part of our Cruise-In at Discovery Park of America. Guests can check out the vintage cars free with park admission. There will also be a panel discussion on transportation later that afternoon. The Discovery Park of America Cruise-In is sponsored by Jerry Ward Autoplex.
CHRISTIAN MUSIC WEEKEND
Aug. 31 also is the first day of our Christian music performances throughout the park. Several local groups will be set up in our 1800s Chapel, the Settlement and other unique places on our 50-acre heritage park. Music in the park will continue through Labor Day, Sept. 2, 2019.
Discovery Park of America is open on Labor Day for families who want to spend the day together exploring the 100,000 SF museum and 50-acre heritage park.
