With the wintry weather hopefully behind us and spring just around the corner, what other way to cure cabin fever than to come to the “Exotic and Invasive” animal program at Discovery Park of America in Tennessee on March 14 and 21. Put on by the very talented and knowledgeable crew from NHECM, this program will demonstrate how exotic animals impact our native animals from the surrounding areas. It will also focus on the dangers of releasing “pets” into the wild as they steal resources from native animals.

Make plans to bring out the whole family to have an up-close experience with a Flying Squirrel, a Bobwhite Quail, some cool snakes and even a Chilean Rose-haired Tarantula! There might even be some surprise animals in store for you!

So if you enjoy exotic animals and want to share your love with your friends and children, then make sure to pencil in the “Exotic and Invasive” animal program at Discovery Park on March 14 and 21. Show times are at 2:00 p.m. in the Reelfoot Room. DPA members are $3.50 plus tax and non-members are $4.50 plus tax.
A tarantula, family attractions in Nashville, TN, Memphis and Jackson, TN, museums, aquariums, parks, gardens, concerts and more at Discovery Park.
