Museum Camp will be from 9 a.m.-4 p.m. on Monday, June 2-Friday, June 6.

The cost for the week-long camp is $100 for members and $125 for non-members. Lunch will be provided.

14-year-old through 17-year-old students will learn about a variety of scientific and historical topics through hands-on, engaging experiences across our Discovery Center and Heritage Park. Students will explore a variety of topics including:

Exhibits

Go behind the scenes with the exhibits team and learn the basics of setting up an exhibit. Students will have the chance to research and build their own museum exhibit using real pieces from Discovery Park of America. The students’ exhibits will be displayed through Sunday for all guests to enjoy.

Farm to Table

Step back in time and learn how you can grow enough food for your family year-round like farmers have been doing for centuries. Students will learn about gardening, greenhouses and how to make a three-course meal from the harvest. Then they can enjoy their hard work and eat what they made.

Shop Safety Class

After a shop safety class, students will grab their hammers and nails and get to work. They will follow the blueprints and help keep Discovery Park of America beautiful with their creations.

World Culture Day

Engage in a journey of sports and activities from around the world. Each activity explores the ways that it contributes to or enhances the aesthetic, artistic, historical, intellectual or social development of other cultures.

Escape the Peninsula

Test your wilderness skills and escape the peninsula. Students will work in teams competing against each other to be the first to escape. Figure out clues to unlock our equipment and complete challenges. Only three challenges stand between you and the finish line. This is an outdoor adventure; be sure to check the weather and bring sunblock if needed.
