Come spend the day celebrating America’s independence at Discovery Park of America on Saturday, July 1. Interact with living historians, participate in the “Ringing of the Bell” ceremony and activities throughout the park.

Scavenger Hunt
There’s a spy in our midst. Follow the clues and aid The Revolution. Redeem your completed Scavenger Hunt for a free ice cream. Pick up your form at the ticket counter.
Historical Interpreter: Jeff Talley
Freedom Square
Jeff Talley, dressed in period clothing, will discuss the Declaration of Independence as well as mid-1700s printing and bookbinding.
11 a.m.
Wreaths Across America Ceremony
Lower Military Gallery
The ceremony will include a Missing Man Table, the posting of colors, an opening blessing and invocation given by Pastor Tony Keeton of Union City Temple Baptist Church, welcome remarks, patriotic music, the placing of the ceremonial wreath on a headstone and playing of Taps.
12 p.m.
Community Singing of Patriotic Songs
The Chapel
Sing along with the Bishop Street Singers as they lead us in a community singing of our favorite patriotic songs.
1:30 p.m.
Boston Tea Party and Ringing of the Bell
The Chapel
Experience a reenactment the Boston Tea Party followed by the ringing of our Liberty Bell replica.
