Clark Beckham is returning to to Discovery Park once again! Beckham is Nashville-based singer-songwriter and multi-instrumentalist who gained recognition as the runner-up on the 14th season of American Idol in 2015. His music is a blend of classic soul, R&B, and pop, showcasing his impressive vocal abilities and skillful instrumentation on piano and guitar. With a magnetic stage presence, Beckham continues to build a successful career as a solo artist.
Made up of powerhouse vocalists Adam Wakefield and Casey James, Texas Hill’s latest album “Heaven Down Here” melds soul, R&B, country, southern rock and even some Memphis blues. With their new “see-it-to-believe-it” attitude, the band has big plans for their new album, set to record in Muscle Shoals this spring. Fans of all genres will appreciate the spirit of this group.
Due to rainy weather, we are moving Rhythm on the Rails to the ATA Gallery inside the Discovery Center. Even better, it’s Cinco de Mayo, so tacos and margaritas will be on the menu. Doors open at 5:30 p.m.
Join us for a night of unforgettable entertainment as we kick off the Rhythm on the Rails festival with an incredible lineup of musical talent. Opening night will be an “American Idol throwback” night featuring Clark Beckham and Texas Hill. Many of these artists’ careers began by competing on the American Idol stage.
