The professional development workshop will take place on Monday, Sept. 18, 2023.

The workshop will be a round-robin format where university professors will provide a 15–20-minute activity and lesson related to Earth Science/Geoscience. Science teachers can implement these in their classrooms.

Speakers include:

• Professor Allison Bohanon who will speak about the layers of the Earth
• Dr. Angie Van Boening will be speaking about the rock cycle
• Dr. Micheal Gibson will be speaking about fossils
• Dr. Dawn Wilkins will be speaking about ecosystems and biomes

Doors will open at 3 p.m. Teachers will be able to explore the park until the official workshop starts at 5 p.m. Presentations will begin at 5 p.m. Dinner will be provided in Dino Hall at 6 p.m. and presentations will resume from 7-8 p.m.

This event is free for teachers to attend.
