Registration is now closed for the Discovery Park chapter of the Tennessee Naturalist Program. Please contact Jennifer Wildes at jwildes@discoveryparkofamerica.com to be placed on the waiting list.

To become a certified Tennessee Naturalist, students must complete a minimum of 40 hours of active class and field instruction following the TNP curriculum and provide a minimum of 40 hours of service in one or more approved volunteer opportunities. If possible, completion of these requirements within a year of the first class is encouraged.

Upon completion of all required class, field and volunteer hours, students become certified Tennessee Naturalists. There are no exceptions to these requirements for certification.

The classes are open for adults ages 18 and older and will be held on Saturdays beginning Aug. 26, 2023. The 11 classes are limited to just 20 participants and costs $300 for all 11 days and all class materials. A schedule of classes with more information is located at DiscoveryParkofAmerica.com/TNP.
