Lane College is proud of its Concert Choir, which has performed under various names since 1904. Led by distinguished directors such as Professor Nathaniel Dett, Dr. Mitchell Southall, and Dr. Marvin Curtis, the choir has a rich legacy in choral music. At the 2025 Rhythm on the Rails summer concert series, Lane College presents a trio known as Sonaria.

Jacob Tolliver

A self-taught piano prodigy, Jacob Tolliver is ushering in a new era of country rock. His viral videos across social media have garnered over 300M views and 5M shares. Having spent the last three years playing with and portraying Jerry Lee Lewis in the “Million Dollar Quartet,” Jacob first received national attention on Season XIV of “American Idol.” He’s shared the stage with big names like Ricky Skaggs, Jackson Browne and The Beach Boys. Check out this video of Jacob Tolliver performing “Rockin’ My Life Away” for Jerry Lee Lewis at his 85th birthday celebration.

Guests can look forward to an exciting night on the second evening of the Rhythm on the Rails summer concert series. Sonaria will kick off the night with a sure-to-be captivating performance.

To follow is Jacob Tolliver, known for his dynamic piano skills and rock n’ roll roots. Tolliver is also known for blending pop, country, and blues influence into his music, promising an energetic show.

Families are encouraged to bring their own blankets, chairs and  fishing gear. The gate near the Train Depot will open at 5:00 p.m., and music will begin at 7 p.m.
