Southern Artist Showcase: “The Art of Red Grooms”

Discovery Park of America celebrates the works of Red Grooms on display in the Artist Showcase Gallery through April 30, 2020. The pieces on display are on loan from the Tennessee State Museum and the West Tennessee Regional Art Center.
Red Grooms was born in Nashville in 1937 and now lives in New York City and still producing art. He emerged in the 1960s to become one of the most important figures in the world of contemporary American art. He has captivated audiences with a creative genius that has expressed itself through a wide variety of media, including sculpture, film, drawing, and painting. With an irrepressible sense of humor, Grooms pokes fun at cultural icons in a good-natured way.
The works of Red Grooms will be on display through April 30, 2020.
