STEAM Saturdays are back at Discovery Park of America. On the last Saturday of each month, the Tennessee Room will be transformed into a hub of activities, games and fun revolving around engineering, science and technology.

Join us in the Tennessee Room on Saturday, Aug. 31 from 11 a.m.-2 p.m. For August’s STEAM Saturday, guests will explore chain reactions and Rube Goldberg machines.

A Rube Goldberg machine, named after American cartoonist Rube Goldberg, is a chain reaction–type machine or contraption intentionally designed to perform a simple task in an indirect and (often impractically) complicated way. Guests will build cartoonish contraptions using a variety of building materials.
