Commemorate the 20th Anniversary of the tragedies of September 11, 2001 with Discovery Park educators in conjunction with the 9/11 Memorial Stair Climb. STEAM Saturday is a monthly program series hosted by the Discovery Park education team meant to explore facets of Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts and Mathematics through the lens of specific events, disciplines or concepts. This month’s programs are centered around the historic impact of 9/11 on culture and technology.

9 a.m. – Opening Ceremony for the 9/11 Memorial Stair Climb

10 a.m. – 9/11 Memorial Stair Climb

11 a.m. – The Science of Firefighting with Russell Orr

1 p.m. – “9/11 – A Moment to Shape a Millennium” with historian Zach Rea

2 p.m. – The Science of Firefighting with Russell Orr
