“Tennessee History for Kids” Summer Road Show for Educators

Jul 21st @ 9:00 am - 4:00 pm

“Tennessee History for Kids” is bringing their popular Summer Roadshow for Educators back to Discovery Park this summer. All teachers who attend will receive a certificate for six hours professional development.

In the morning, the Discovery Park of America staff will take teachers on a VIP behind-the-scenes tour of the museum and heritage parking including the temporary exhibit Real Bodies: The Exhibition. Discovery Park’s iconic 100,000-square-foot museum showcases ten exhibit galleries focused on topics like science, space, technology, the military, natural history, regional history, art, transportation, and more. After lunch, author—and Discovery Park’s CEO—Scott Williams will test your knowledge of Tennessee’s David Crockett with a fun and interactive presentation. Then, Bill Carey will share a presentation on the Mississippi River and the history of West Tennessee. The cost is $40 each and includes lunch and all admission fees.
