Discovery Park is partnering with the Tennessee State Museum for another Teacher Development session, scheduled for Wednesday, June 25. Join us for an engaging and insightful six-hour workshop focused on the pivotal historical event known as the Scopes Trial, which challenged the teaching of evolution in American schools in 1925.

Dive deep into primary sources like newspaper articles and political cartoons to explore the differing perspectives of the time. Participate in hands-on activities to critically analyze these sources and develop a comprehensive timeline of major events. Teachers will also receive resource materials for classroom use.

This professional development opportunity will be hosted across the state at local partner sites to better serve teachers and students from East, Middle, and West Tennessee.
