Wildlife Education Series: Bird Banding Bonanza! April 18, 2020

Join U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service staff and volunteers from Clark River National Wildlife Refuge for a morning of mist-netting songbirds. Learn how birds are safely captured and removed from mist-nets, banded, and how data is collected from each bird in order to aid in wildlife management decision.
STEAM Saturday with Wildlife Education Series – “Bird Banding Bonanza” presented by the US Fish & Wildlife Service, Clark River National Wildlife Refuge
7-10 a.m. “Green Hour” on the Great Lawn with special bird banding program (weather permitting)
11 a.m. – 12 p.m. Learn how to bird band a paper bird in the vineyard (rain location in Dinosaur Hall)
11 a.m. – 2 p.m. Science Experiments in Dinosaur Hall
1 p.m. Kids Create Art Activity – TBD
3:30 p.m. KEVA Block Challenge
