(Union City, Tenn., April 24, 2024) — Beginning June 24, 2024, Discovery Park of America will be one of more than 75 venues around the world to premiere T.REX 3D. This immersive film, produced by Giant Screen Films is exclusive to museum cinemas in IMAX^®, giant screen, 2D/3D and dome formats.

Visitors to Discovery Park will experience the film in The Discovery Theater, a recently updated space that features a state-of-the-art laser-illuminated 4K Digital 3D projection system. Included in the update was the latest high-efficiency 40,000-lumen laser projector on the market, an advanced surround-sound system and the ability to show 3-D films like T.REX 3D.

Working with scientists, a coalition of natural history institutions and pioneering paleo and visual effects artists, the goal of the production team was to create the most dazzling and accurate documentary film experience about Tyrannosaurus rex ever made.

With nods to famous specimens and landmark discoveries from the field of paleontology, the film will explore the interplay between speculation and evidence and reveal how the process of science refreshes and reimagines our understanding of this legendary dinosaur.

“We’re eager to bring the G.O.A.T. — The Greatest of All Tyrants — back to life in fun and surprising ways,” said the film’s director, David Clark. “The film will cover a lot of new territory while delivering on the quintessential promises of a T.REX 3D cinematic experience. Of course, we included the dinky arms, super senses, rex-on-rex fights, pack hunts, baby rexlings and much, much more.”

Discovery Park will be hosting free screenings for members the first week the movie is shown, June 24 – 29, 2024 at 5 p.m. and 5:30 p.m. each day. Seats for the two showings each day are limited, so reserve up to four seats per member at the upcoming Discovery Park Members-only Park After Dark on Friday, May 3, 2024. Any remaining tickets for members will be made available online after the event.

Tickets for the 3D films shown in the Discovery Theater must be purchased for $6.99 in addition to museum admission.
