Astronomy Night – Jupiter’s Opposition
Jan 10th @ 8:00 pm - 10:00 pm

Join Dr. Lionel Crews from the University of Tennessee at Martin Astronomy Department and the Discovery Park education team for a special evening exploring Jupiter at opposition. This annual event occurs when Earth passes between the Sun and Jupiter, making the planet appear at its largest and brightest in the night sky.
During the program, Dr. Crews will showcase Jupiter in opposition on the big screen inside the Discovery Theater and discuss the planet’s history, features, and significance. Weather permitting, guests may also have opportunities for outdoor viewing.
Please park in the main parking lot and enter through the main entrance of Discovery Park of America.
