Join Discovery Park of America for the 2025 Tennessee STEAM Festival on Friday, Oct. 24 and Saturday, Oct. 25. We have brewed up some special activities to keep you in the spirit of the season.
Friday, Oct. 24
11 a.m. to 4 p.m. | Reelfoot Room
Illuminate Your Imagination
- Create moving art with everyday objects and light
- Discover how science and art come together
- Make shadow puppets and bring stories to life
- Craft unique designs using your imagination
11 a.m. to 2 p.m. | Discovery Fossil Pit, Next to Eats and Treats (weather permitting)
Dig Into the Past
- Dig through 75-million-year-old material from Coon Creek Science Center
- Uncover real fossils just like a paleontologist
- Learn how to preserve your discovery
- Take your fossil home as a one-of-a-kind souvenir
Saturday, Oct. 25
11 a.m. to 4 p.m. | Pumpkin Village
Halloween Candy Caper
- Use your STEM skills to solve clues and complete challenges
- Unlock the candy hidden inside the Wade Cabin
- Race against time to break out the sweet rewards
- Family-friendly fun with a spooky Halloween twist
11 a.m. to 2 p.m. | STEAM Saturday in Dinosaur Hall
Puppet Making
- Create your own Halloween puppet to take home
- Make paper bag puppets, origami puppets, and more
- Learn the art of puppetry using just your hands
- Hands-on fun for all ages before you enter Heritage Park
