Special Attractions

For guests who want to add a little something special to their visit to Discovery Park, we offer several special attractions that can be experienced with an additional ticket.

The Starship Theater

The Starship Theater is closed for the remodel and will reopen on October 8, 2022 with the 20-minute version of two award-winning 3D films, “Dinosaurs of Antarctica 3D” and “Tiny Giants 3D.”

The project will upgrade the current Starship Theater incorporating a state-of-the-art, laser-illuminated 4K Digital 3D projection system designed and integrated by D3D Cinema.

Earthquake Simulator, $4.95

This 10-minute immersive experience features a surround screen and moving platform to take you back in time to experience firsthand the science behind the 1811 and 1812 earthquakes along the New Madrid Faultline that contributed to the creation of Reelfoot Lake.

Cooper Tower, $4.95

Cooper Tower, named in honor of Barbara Lynn Tanner Cooper, reaches 199 feet into the air and is capped by an American Flag measuring over 40 feet long. The observation deck stands 120 feet above the ground and features glass floor panels inside the observation room and on the outside deck. It is the tallest structure in Northwest Tennessee, and on a clear day you can see 15 miles to the Kentucky border. It only takes 22 seconds to ride 13 stories into the air on the Cooper Tower elevator and you can stay as long as you like. Tickets for Cooper Tower are included in the VIP packages.

Pick Two and Save! Pick any two attractions for the low price of $7.95.

Tickets for special attractions are sold at the Discovery Park ticket counter.
