Discovery Park of America and the Obion River Regional Library Center have partnered to present the 2025 LEGO® Competition. The competition runs from August through November, with a new theme introduced each month. Participants submit their entries to their local libraries within the Obion River region, where initial winners are selected in the first round of judging. Those winning entries are then sent to Discovery Park for a second round of judging. Winners are displayed in Discovery Park’s Art Hall.
Divisions:
- Ages 0-5
- Ages 6-11
- Ages 12-18
- Adult
- Partner Builds (one child and one adult or two children)
Rules:
Failure to follow these guidelines will result in submission not being accepted at Discovery Park and therefor prizes forfitted.
- Entries must be original creations. No kits allowed.
- Only one entry per person each month.
- All pieces should be attached, within reason.
- Maximum dimensions: 10” x 10” x 18” (in any direction).
Prizes:
Round 1
- Library Winners: (up to five per library each month) will received two VIP Discovery Passes
Round 2
- Discovery Park Favorites: (one from each age category each month) will receive two Explore Plus Packages
Round 3
- Grand Prize Winners: (one from each age category) will receive a 1-Year Family Membership to Discovery Park
Themes and details for LEGO Competition 2025:
Submissions are due to Discovery Park the third Friday of each month. Your library may have earlier deadlines to accommodate local judging.
August: Color Your World – Recreate the most colorful things you see in books or in the world around you.
September: Save Our World – Build something to honor community helpers or superheroes.
October: Explore Our World – Showcase a habitat or special place from around the world.
November: Thankful for My World – Create anything or anyone you are thankful for. (Please include a one-photograph story or description.)
