Mo Pitney
Country music artist Mo Pitney will take center stage July 3 at the final night of Discovery Park of America’s Rhythm on the Rails concert series, launching the museum and heritage park’s “Celebrating 250 Years of Independence” two-day event and a major new exhibition.
An award-winning artist with deep roots in traditional country, Pitney has earned industry recognition including a GMA Dove Awards honor for Southern Gospel Recorded Song of the Year, underscoring both his vocal talent and his growing influence across country, bluegrass and gospel music.
Pitney is setting the tone for a two-day festival that blends history, culture and community. His performance anchors major programming that includes the opening of the “Brushstrokes of a Young Nation: The Art of David Wright” exhibition positioning Discovery Park as a regional hub for commemorating the nation’s 250th anniversary.
Supported in part by a Tennessee America 250 Grant from the Tennessee Commission for the United States Semiquincentennial.
Hope MacGregor
Hope MacGregor’s music is a unique blend of Americana, blues, country, and honesty. She knows how to speak to the most tender parts of life with songs like Why Dogs and For Now. But it is MacGregor’s own brand of take-no-crap humor in her writing, with songs like Screwed and Sloppy Seconds, that keeps folks coming back for more. If you want to get to know Hope, just ask her about her beloved yellow lab, Lucy.
